Step 1 – Visit the TSC Portal

We recommend that you use Mozilla Firefox or Windows explorer browsers while making the application.

On the browser, go to www.teachersonline.go.ke. The home page of the portal will be displayed. If you are a new user of the portal, click on ‘New Teacher Registration’

Step 2 – View available jobs | TSC Jobs

Click on the status of the adverts tab To view the list of all the available jobs on the portal.

Depending on the post you are applying for, click ‘apply’ on the Action column far right.

After you click apply in step 3 above, the following screen will appear where you fill in the required information for the application.

Ensure that you type all the required data correctly. The applicant should provide the following details while applying for their job of choice.

  • National Identification Number (Kenyan Citizens)
  • Passport Number for non-Kenyans
  • Type in your Surname
  • Click Verify to continue or Cancel to abort

Basic Tab | TSC Jobs

As mentioned earlier, each tab is a form that contains sections that must be filled with the required details. The basic tab requires you to fill the following details;

  • Religion
  • County of Work
  • County of Origin
  • District of work
  • Home District

Select your specific details from the drop-down arrow and save the details before proceeding to the next tab

Academic Tab

This tab requires you to state your academic qualifications. Provide your academic history and save the details before proceeding to the next tab.

If you need to rectify an error, there is an edit button next to the delete button. You can also add more qualifications if need be using the ‘new record button’

Responsibility Tab

Choose your responsibilities on this tab. The default responsibility is Academic coordinator. However, you can choose your responsibilities from the drop-down arrow.

Add more than one responsibly by clicking on the ‘Action column’. Save the details and proceed to the next tab.

Teaching Experience

If you have taught in an institution before, make sure that it is captured in this tab. By clicking on the Add New Record button, a drop-down arrow appears.

Choose the county, district, division, zone, school and grade of the school/s that you taught.

You can add more than one record if you have taught in more than one school. Make sure to click on the save button before proceeding to the next tab.

Non-Teaching Experience

This tab allows you to add any other non-teaching experience that you may have. Click on the tab and fill in the details of the institution, grade, and duration that you have practiced the non-teaching experience. Click on save and proceed to the next tab.

Breaks Tab

Here is where you state the nature and reason for the break from service i.e. regular employment.

Otherwise, you can choose to skip this tab if it’s not applicable to you and click next to go to the next step.

Completed Tab

This is the last tab that notifies you on whether or not the application process was successful.

If it was successful, this tab will notify you and if not, errors will be highlighted. If you make a mistake you will be referred back to where the mistake was made.
