I see this in shops in low class neighborhoods like Pipeline. But there are no charges. This only increase their Mpesa transactions.

I know someone doing this at a very busy area, pesa ya bure,
So this is how it works, fuliza can only be used to pay something through lipa na mpesa or sent to someone.
So you write fuliza hapa at your shop, so for the customer to fuliza it means she /he will send you money to the number you have provided since hawezi withdraw, when they send you 500 you will give them 470, you charge 30 ksh since amekutumia 500 through fuliza for you to give him or her solid cash,

You cannot withdraw fuliza, so what you do is Fuliza on your phone and send to someone who has cash anakupea. If you need 200, you send them 227.

Weueh!! Yaani saa hii ndio unjua about this one!! Niko na line ya fuliza, if you want to fuliza 100 lazima ufulize na 28 sh za withdrawal, and I will give you hiyo tu mia... wengine ata wanafulizanga na 30 bob..so nikifulizia watu 10×30 hiyo ni 300 per day..

Assuming you work till Saturday..You will have earned 550×6 days =3300
In a month you could make 13200

It looked like a good side hustle that required minimum capital to start.

I called my shop assistant and instructed him what to do. And just like that, we are on!!

I have no problem with supply side.
However on demand side,the interest on fuliza is already predatory. Another cost on top of that will sink Kenyans into deeper debts. No investment can give you returns to that interest.
Unless is a do or die situation, I won't encourage anyone to transact this.

Someone explain to me why Safaricom should ban Fuliza.
Yet it has purposely made fuliza unwithdrawable yaani you cannot withdraw it ..
So they already know you can only fuliza to a till or you send to someone ...
Maybe wapate wivu this is just a man-made idea ....
So legit ...

But this has been going on...where as...most mpesa shops ama maduka huwezi kosa fuliza number, you will be surprised in some shops that it is written in bold FULIZA HAPA.
